Fine grinding of metalliferous ores has become increasingly important for the Australian mining industry, as many of the remaining orebodies are very fine-grained and refractory. It is however an energy intensive process and as conventional equipment is not capable of providing economically sound production, new solutions are being implemented.
The most successful application is stirred milling technology as it meets three major criteria: capacity, efficiency and reliability. Several major ore deposits classified as “untreatable” in the past were developed recently thanks to stirred milling technology. Sand Crushing Process
The objectives of silica sand processing are to clean the quartz grains, decrease the size and increase the percentage of silica present, to produce the optimum size distribution of product depending upon end use and to reduce the amount of impurities, especially iron and chromium.
Big silica stone are fed to the jaw crusher evenly and gradually by vibrating feeder through a hopper for primary crushing. Jaw crusher is used in primary crushing station. It can crush silica sand into smaller sizes. Thus, these small silica sand can be fed into mill such as ball mill for grinding.
After first crushing, the material will transferred to cone crusher or grinding mill by belt conveyor for secondary crush; the crushed silica sand materials will then transferred to vibrating screen for separating. After separating, the particles that can meet requirements will be discharged as final products, while the particles under requirement will be returned to cone crusher, thus forming a closed circuit. Size of final products can be combined and graded according to your specific requirement.
