Sandstone crushing machine
Sand and gravel are often mined in a moist or wet condition by open pit excavation or by dredging. Open pit excavation is carried out with power shovels and bucket wheel excavators. After mining, the materials are transported to the sandstone processing plant by belt conveyors, or other means.
The wet sand and gravel raw material will be fed directly into a hopper. From the hopper, the material is transported to a fixed or vibrating screen by gravity, belt conveyors, hydraulic pump, or bucket elevators. The vibrating screens separate the oversize material from the smaller, marketable sizes.
Oversize material may be used for erosion control, reclamation, or other uses, or it may be directed to a crusher for size reduction, to produce crushed aggregate, or to produce manufactured sands.

Sandstone crushing generally is carried out in one or two stages, sometimes three-stage crushing may also be performed according to final application requirements.
Following crushing, the material is returned to the screening operation for sizing. The three stages crushing process include primary crushing, secondary crushing and tertiary crushing. Sandstone jaw crusher is the most favorite primary sandstone crushing machine.
